The Churchill Fellows Association of Tasmania's membership comprises recipients of
a
Churchill Fellowship.
Tasmania has over one hundred very talented Churchill Fellows from all walks of life, in fields which are many and varied and from all over the state.

The first Churchill Fellowships were awarded in 1966. The inaugural Tasmanian Fellowship recipients were:
Dr. Trevor Beard, Dr. Lyndsay McLeod, Jean Russel and Dr. David Steane.

Since then 143 Fellowships have been awarded in Tasmania by the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust.
The Churchill Trust was set up in 1965, the year of the death of Sir Winston Churchill,
to perpetuate and honour his memory, by awarding Memorial Fellowships.
